Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow has not sent Washington an ultimatum regarding U.S. participation in strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian territory. According to him, during bilateral contacts the Russian side raises the issue of possible support for Ukrainian attacks.
Lavrov noted that leaks periodically appear in the Western press about how the administration of Donald Trump, which calls the Ukrainian crisis "Joe Biden's war," provides assistance to Ukraine with new financial allocations, arms supplies, intelligence data, and other means. Over the past couple of months, there have been three or four such cases.
When such information arises, Moscow sends it through diplomatic channels to the State Department with a request to confirm its accuracy, but no response from Washington has ever been received.
Commenting on the visit of CIA Director John Ratcliffe to Moscow, the Foreign Minister stressed that the special services of the two countries work in silence.
Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, in an interview with RIA Novosti, pointed to fluctuations in U.S. rhetoric on negotiations around Ukraine. He stated that Russia is ready for dialogue on eliminating the root causes of the crisis and eliminating all threats emanating from the territory controlled by Kyiv, but it is necessary to clearly understand on the basis of what approaches the United States wants to build interaction.
