According to the Defense Ministry, over the past week Russian military struck eight ships that were linked to the Ukrainian armed forces. In addition, strikes were carried out on port infrastructure that ensured the reception and storage of military cargo and fuel and lubricants.
Ambassador-at-Large of the Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik earlier noted that the enemy uses the sea route as a round-the-clock channel for delivering weapons. Over three years, about eight thousand ships with military cargo passed through the Odessa ports, which explains the strikes on these targets.
The ministry clarified that over the week the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive strike and 12 group strikes with high-precision weapons and drones, hitting the specified objects.
The Defense Ministry has repeatedly emphasized that strikes on infrastructure are carried out to reduce the enemy's military-economic potential. For this purpose, weapons and drones are used that can destroy any target both in Kiev and throughout Ukrainian territory.
