Five people were killed and 24, including five children, were injured in a collision between a bus traveling from Georgia and a KamAZ truck in the Stavropol region. The local traffic police informed about this in their channel on the Max platform.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at about 01:00 on the third kilometer of the federal highway Kavkaz near the settlement of Inozemtsevo, which is part of the city of Zheleznovodsk. The driver of the bus, which was heading from Georgia to Moscow, did not choose a safe speed and did not maintain distance from the KamAZ ahead. As a result, a collision occurred, after which the bus overturned into a ditch.
Among the injured are five minors. The condition of four of them is assessed as satisfactory, one more child was taken to intensive care.
Traffic police officers and an investigative-operational group are working at the scene. Detailed circumstances of the accident are being established. The prosecutor's office of the Stavropol region organized a check on the fact of the incident.
