US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that he will be able to arrange another meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. When asked about the possibility of such a summit, he replied: "Oh, we will definitely hold it."

The White House chief also noted that he could meet with his Russian counterpart without delay, but he considers the time when the Ukrainian conflict approaches its end more appropriate.

Since the beginning of this year, the leaders have held four telephone conversations, the last of which took place in July. During that conversation, Putin and Trump discussed the situation in the zone of the special military operation and the role of the American side as a mediator in the peace process.

Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that a personal meeting of the heads of state could take place on the sidelines of the APEC summit in November. According to him, if both leaders participate in the same event, their negotiations will be inevitable.
