U.S. President Donald Trump said that special envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner will present proposals on settling the situation in Ukraine during a visit to Moscow. According to Trump, this proposal is not new. He also noted that Washington has an idea for establishing peace in Ukraine, but did not disclose details.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Witkoff and Kushner would come to Moscow for talks on Saturday. Commenting on this information, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov did not name exact dates of the visit, noting that the Kremlin will notify about contacts when they take place.
On Tuesday, Vladimir Putin said that the negotiation process on Ukraine is still in a frozen state. At the same time, he stressed that Moscow is ready for dialogue with all who wish it. The president explained that representatives of the White House head are always welcome guests in Russia, and the Kremlin gladly works with them. Earlier, he noted that Moscow is ready to return to negotiations and discussion of all details and topics raised in Alaska in August 2025.
