Putin said that Western competitors today are trying to regain their former leadership by any means. According to him, this competition today sometimes takes unsavory forms, and such unsavory forms at the state level.
As Putin pointed out, even instruments of direct physical impact or the destruction of industrial and logistics facilities, pipelines and the like are being used.
More than 30,000 sanctions have been imposed against Russia, almost twice as many as against all the countries of the world combined. But the initiators of the sanctions pressure themselves have faced severe consequences: problems of budget deficits, growing government debts and industrial decline.
