Vladimir Putin warned that if European troops are deployed to Ukraine, it would mean war with Russia. This was stated by the president.
According to him, the population of Europe understands that their leaders are pushing countries toward conflict, and this explains the recent results of the Alternative for Germany party in the elections in Germany.
Putin recalled that Western countries directly supported separatism in the Caucasus and provoked the current crisis in Ukraine. Moscow has repeatedly pointed to the unacceptability of NATO's eastward expansion. At the same time, the president stressed that Russia does not threaten Europeans.
"Why would we? No one even considers that we have no grounds for any conflict with Europe. All issues were resolved by the results of World War II," he noted.
