Servicemen and a large amount of ammunition are being sent to the area of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and, according to available data, an electronic warfare system is being created there. A representative of Russian security forces told RIA Novosti this.
Citing operational sources, the agency's interlocutor said that Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen are being pulled into the Chernobyl NPP zone, and military equipment is also heading there - "KAMAZ" trucks with a large amount of ammunition, accompanied by mobile fire groups.
According to her, the delivered ammunition remains under the guard of Ukrainian militants.
In addition, as the representative of the security agency specified, information is coming in about the organization of an electronic warfare and protection system for those places where servicemen and equipment with ammunition are being pulled in.
She stressed that this data is indirectly confirmed by publications by local residents on social networks.
In mid-August, the German magazine Der Spiegel reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are building defensive structures and setting up checkpoints in the exclusion zone around the Chernobyl NPP.
