An expanded BRICS+ session is taking place in New Delhi, with Russian President Vladimir Putin taking part. This was reported by a RIA Novosti correspondent.
For the head of the Russian state, this event is the final item on the programme of his three-day visit to India.
The theme of the expanded session is formulated as: "Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Stability: Shaping the Future for Inclusive Global Growth". The session is attended by the leaders of the BRICS states, representatives of ten partners of the association, as well as heads of a number of international organisations. In addition to speeches by the heads of delegations, participants will be presented with the traditional reports on the work of the community's Business Council, the Women's Business Alliance and the New Development Bank.
Putin is in India from 11 to 13 September. During this time he spoke at the main session of the summit and at the Business Forum, and also held a number of bilateral meetings, including with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan and others.
