Vladimir Putin was briefed on Russia's high level of readiness for the flu and ARVI season by the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova.
According to her, thanks to the vaccination of a significant part of the population, the country has for years been getting through this period noticeably more calmly than many other states. Popova expressed confidence that this year too it will be possible to get through the season safely.
She also reported that the preparations for immunization against all variants of the flu virus are ready and are already being sent to the regions, and that their supplies are sufficient. She also described the readiness to carry out the vaccination campaign as sufficiently high.
As for imported infections, their number is growing, but, Popova assured, it is possible to prevent their spread within the country.
Putin, as before, is taking part in events marking the Day of Sanitary and Epidemiological Service Workers. A year earlier, the head of state by video link gave the start to the opening of new Rospotrebnadzor facilities in the regions, including Mariupol, Orenburg, Voronezh and Simferopol.
