Russian security forces told RIA Novosti that near Nefedovka in the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian troops once again unsuccessfully tried to break out of the encirclement, using armored vehicles.
According to the source, as a result of a comprehensive fire attack, a Roshel Senator combat armored vehicle (BBM, editor's note) was destroyed, as well as an enemy combat group in full.
The security forces noted that over the course of a day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 70 personnel in the Kharkiv region.
On September 7, the Ministry of Defense stated that the army had encircled about 1,700 Ukrainian servicemen in the north of the Kharkiv region. According to Vladimir Putin, the elimination of the pocket will allow the line of combat contact to be pushed back at least 20 kilometers from the border areas of the Belgorod region.
