A group of Ukrainian servicemen who tried to break out of encirclement was destroyed in the Volchansk direction. Russian security forces told RIA Novosti about this.

Units of the "Sever" group of forces continue to tighten the encirclement ring and expand the outer control zone in Kharkiv Oblast. The day before, the Ministry of Defense reported that the enemy had lost up to 50 people there in a day, and more than 600 since the beginning of the month.
On September 7, the ministry reported the encirclement of about 1,700 Ukrainian servicemen in the north of the region. According to Vladimir Putin, the elimination of the pocket will make it possible to push the line of combat contact back by at least 20 kilometers from the border areas of Belgorod Oblast.
