US President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of another personal meeting with Vladimir Putin. He said this during talks with Vladimir Zelensky on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
"We have already had a meeting in Alaska. I think we will hold another one," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
In addition, the American president said he is discussing with his Russian counterpart the conditions of a possible peace agreement on Ukraine. According to him, concluding a deal would benefit both sides of the conflict.
Since the beginning of the year, Putin and Trump have held five telephone conversations. The last one took place on September 8. At that time, the leaders assessed the results of visits by US representatives to Moscow and Kyiv.
Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov has said that the heads of state could meet in person on the sidelines of the APEC summit in November. According to him, if they take part in the same event, their talks will be inevitable.
