Vladimir Putin and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held telephone talks. The main topic was the prospect of interaction between Moscow and Belgrade.
Vucic congratulated the Russian leader on the successful holding of the State Duma elections. Both sides noted the inadmissibility of outside interference in electoral processes.
The Serbian president also expressed gratitude for assistance in extinguishing forest fires on the territory of the republic.
In addition, the leaders touched on the international agenda, including the Ukrainian conflict. They stressed the importance of preserving the Dayton architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as ensuring the rights and interests of Serbia.
The conversation lasted about an hour and was organized at Belgrade's initiative. Later, Vucic clarified that gas supplies were discussed, among other things. He confirmed that he is leaving the post of president on September 27.
