In the northeast of the Kharkiv region, Russian troops continue to tighten the encirclement ring around the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

The ministry's summary stated: "Control has been established over the settlements of Grachevka and Serdobino. All attempts by the enemy to break out have been thwarted."

In addition, over the week the military took Petropavlovka, Lozovaya, Khripuny, Kreydyanka, Shabelnoye, Nesternoye and Rublenoye. According to the ministry's clarification, during this period the enemy lost more than 265 fighters, nine armored combat vehicles, six vehicles, five quad bikes and three ground robotic systems in the pocket.

It was also noted there that in total since the beginning of the encirclement the army has liberated 352 square kilometers of territory and 20 settlements.

In early September, fighters of "Sever" encircled about 1,700 Ukrainian military personnel in the Kharkiv region. As Vladimir Putin stated, the area of the pocket is 460 square kilometers and includes 27 settlements. Its elimination will make it possible to push the line of combat contact at least 20 kilometers away from the border districts of the Belgorod region.
