An attack on the tanker Aframax Rio, sailing under the flag of Liberia, took place in the Black Sea off the coast. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Transport. The attack was carried out using unmanned boats.

The vessel was carrying a crew of 23 citizens of India. All of them were rescued. According to preliminary data, there were no injuries.

The Ministry of Transport said that available forces and means are sufficient to deal with the consequences of the incident.

Earlier, Dmitry Plishkin, who heads the federal territory Sirius, appealed to residents and guests with a call not to stay outside for long and, if possible, not to open windows indoors. The beaches were temporarily closed.

He also noted that the level of pollutants in the air does not pose a threat to people's health.
