The Defense Ministry reported that units of the Center group improved their position in the central and northern parts of Dobropolye, located in the DPR.
Over the past day, 82 buildings were liberated in the city. In addition, Russian military forces foiled an attempt by a platoon of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break out of encirclement.
In the area of responsibility of the Center group, enemy losses over the day reached up to 520 servicemen. Also destroyed were seven combat armored vehicles, ten automobiles, a field artillery gun, four electronic warfare stations and one radar station.
Dobropolye is a powerful fortified area and an important transport hub through which one of the key supply arteries of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Dnipropetrovsk region passes. The liberation of the city will accelerate the advance of Russian troops to the borders of the DPR.
