National restrictions, sometimes introduced at the level of individual states, are hindering the development of trade in the Commonwealth of Independent States. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a narrow-format meeting of CIS leaders.
The Russian leader raised the question of whether it is possible to accelerate progress. According to him, this requires removing barriers.
Putin noted that the countries' leaders work in the practical sphere. At the same time, according to him, restrictions are sometimes introduced at the national level. The president concluded that the countries themselves are deliberately holding back the pace of development that could be achieved.
