Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin was receptive to part of the American proposals on de-escalation in Ukraine.

According to him, most of the telephone conversation with Donald Trump, held at the initiative of the American leader, was devoted to the Ukrainian settlement.

Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the new conversation between the two leaders lasted an hour and a half and took place in a friendly atmosphere. Putin provided information on measures being taken in response to terrorist attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, he noted: the Kyiv regime, trying to prevent the holding of elections to the State Duma, derailed the possibility of restarting the negotiation process.

In addition, the sides discussed the situation around Russian oil products. Trump announced a large-scale agreement in this area. According to him, Moscow, depending on the state of its refineries, will supply up to three million tons of diesel fuel to the American and world markets. For this, the US Treasury issued an exception to sanctions valid until April 7.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia will lift restrictions on the export of this type of fuel earlier than planned. In October it is ready to supply 300 thousand tons, in November - 500, in December - up to a million. In the future, the volume may grow to three million tons per month. At the same time, the domestic market will remain fully supplied with diesel, he noted.

Since the beginning of the year, the leaders Putin and Trump have held six telephone conversations. The previous one took place on September 8. At that time they assessed the results of the visits of American representatives to Moscow and Kyiv.
