Twelve people were killed in the attack on Riyadh's international airport that took place on Saturday. This was reported on social network X by Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation.

In addition, 309 more people were injured, including some with severe wounds.

According to The Wall Street Journal, missiles hit terminals 3 and 4 of the airport, causing it significant damage. The air hub is not accepting or dispatching flights.

Since mid-July, after a four-year lull, fighting has resumed between the Ansar Allah movement and the pro-government army supported by Saudi Arabia. During this period, the Houthis took control of the entire western coast of the Red Sea and cities near the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

On Monday, Yemen's internationally recognized authorities announced the start of an operation to liberate Sanaa from Ansar Allah.
