The US administration may halt arms supplies and intelligence transfers to Ukraine, Financial Times reports, citing sources. The reason cited is attempts by the Ukrainian side to attack Russian energy facilities.

According to the publication, European officials claim that the Trump administration is threatening to suspend the procurement system through which Ukraine is provided with weapons. In this way, Washington is trying to pressure Kyiv and secure an end to strikes on Russian energy infrastructure facilities.

As FT writes, US representatives are contacting officials both in the EU and in Ukraine, threatening to stop intelligence sharing and the PURL mechanism. One source who spoke with a US Department of Defense representative described it this way: "They are calling Kyiv. They are calling everyone in Europe."

On Sunday, Donald Trump announced a supposedly reached agreement on an energy truce between Russia and Ukraine, which, according to him, should take effect immediately. The Kremlin has not yet commented on this information.

The day before, the US president accused the head of the Kyiv regime of ignoring Washington's requests not to strike Russian oil refineries. According to Trump, he should have made peace with Moscow long ago, but instead "created problems for the whole world." He proposed holding elections so that Ukrainians could choose a more amenable leader.

A day earlier, a meeting between the Americans and the Ukrainian side took place in Miami, which, according to media reports, ended early. The reason, it is noted, was the deal on Russian diesel that the head of the White House announced after telephone talks with Vladimir Putin.

As reported, Trump's representatives also warned the Ukrainians about a possible suspension of intelligence sharing if they do not abandon attacks on Russian oil refineries.

The PURL support mechanism was launched last summer. The reason was Donald Trump's refusal to continue free transfers of weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Now the US sells them to NATO countries, and they send them to Ukraine. The latter must determine its critical needs and coordinate aid packages with the North Atlantic Alliance.

As the Kremlin has emphasized, the Russian Armed Forces will make Ukraine pay for strikes on civilian economic facilities.
