Moscow is interested in representatives of the Kyiv regime demonstrating political will aimed at recognizing the realities on the ground and achieving a peaceful settlement. Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump, speaking with journalists on Saturday, said that Vladimir Zelensky had many opportunities to settle the Ukrainian conflict, but did not use them. According to Trump, Ukraine needs a new leader capable of reaching agreements with Russia. Later, he called for holding elections in Ukraine.
On Friday, a meeting between the American and Ukrainian sides took place in Miami, which, according to media reports, ended early. The reason for this, it is noted, was a deal on Russian diesel fuel, which the head of the White House announced after telephone talks with Vladimir Putin.
As reported, Trump's representatives also warned the Ukrainian side about the possible suspension of intelligence sharing if it does not stop attacks on Russian oil refineries.
