Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stressed that for Russia the main focus remains supplies of diesel fuel to the domestic market.

According to him, diesel fuel is also directed to agricultural work and the northern supply, which creates opportunities for export.

Novak noted that since the start of the year world diesel prices have risen by 80-100 percent, that is, almost twofold.

The energy ministries of Russia and the United States, as well as companies, are already holding talks on purchasing diesel.

On Friday, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump held a telephone conversation. After it, the head of the White House announced a large-scale agreement in the energy sphere: Moscow, depending on the state of its refineries, will supply up to three million tons of diesel fuel to the American and world markets. For this, the country's Finance Ministry issued an exemption from sanctions valid until April 7.

On Saturday, the Russian government partially lifted the ban on diesel exports. As Novak stated, in October Moscow is ready to supply 300 thousand tons of diesel fuel, in November - 500 thousand, in December - up to one million.
