According to a report by the Roscongress foundation titled "Scalability and Accessibility: A New Approach to the Militarization of NATO and Allies," which has been obtained by RIA Novosti, NATO countries aim to saturate their forces in an avalanche-like manner with inexpensive offensive weapons of various ranges.
The document notes that an analysis of US arms procurement plans, as well as the international Eurosatory 2026 exhibition in Paris, points to signs of an approaching break in the established military-technical strategy of NATO countries.
As emphasized in the report, the fundamental change consists in a transition to the concept of "smart mass." Instead of one-off, expensive and high-tech means of destruction, the emphasis is now on simplifying all components, including the use of civilian technologies and dual-use products.
The report explains: "Such an approach not only makes the final product cheaper and reduces the time required to produce it, but also, more importantly, makes it possible to rapidly scale up output volumes. In the future, this leads to an avalanche-like saturation of troops with long-range offensive weapons of ground, sea and air basing."
