The capital faced one of the largest attempted attacks by Ukrainian forces since the start of autumn. This is evidenced by data published on the social media of Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and analyzed by RIA Novosti.

As the city head reported, from yesterday evening until Tuesday morning, 417 unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded heading toward the Moscow region. The military neutralized most of them at long range, and 65 drones on the approach to the capital.

The largest-scale enemy attack on Moscow was recorded on September 19 and 20, when Russia was holding State Duma elections. On those days, air defense forces destroyed 1,600 drones, of which 450 were approaching the city.

The second-largest number of UAVs attempting to reach the capital was the raid of October 9-10. At that time, the military eliminated 403 UAVs at long range, and 25 closer to Moscow.

The most massive of the summer was the attack of August 17-18: 620 drones flew into the Moscow region, 180 of them were shot down on its territory.
