Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the authorities are taking measures to strengthen the protection of oil refineries. According to him, the situation on the fuel market has recently returned to normal.

Earlier, in early October, Novak said that thanks to the authorities' actions, it had been possible to reduce the damage from regular drone attacks on refineries.

In the summer, problems with fuel supplies arose in Russia. Vladimir Putin described these difficulties as temporary, linking them to attempts by the Kyiv regime to escalate tensions. The president gave instructions to increase the capacity of small and medium-sized businesses to produce petroleum products as quickly as possible.

To improve the situation, the cabinet introduced a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel, and also provided tax relief for the import of fuel and for increasing its production inside the country.
