American entrepreneur Elon Musk clarified that satellite communications have an exclusively civilian and defensive purpose.

He also drew a distinction between the civilian Starlink network and the military satellite system Starshield. According to him, Starshield is owned by the American government and under its control. All restrictions on speed or usage modes of its software are set by the US military department and the president.

This statement came in response to a post by former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on the social network X. In it, he reported the alleged restoration of Starlink communications at speeds of up to 160 km/h and called for fully lifting the limits for the military modification Starshield.

Today, an adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky, Serhiy Beskrestnov, complained that SpaceX had reduced the operating speed of Starlink for the Ukrainian military. This led to the disruption of some operations that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had previously planned and reduced the ability to shoot down jet-powered drones.

The head of the Kyiv regime also complained that Ukraine has not received intelligence from its partners about the launch of ballistic missiles by Russia for the second day in a row.

Two days earlier, CNN reported that Washington had sent Kyiv a warning about its readiness to stop sharing such information. Politico also wrote that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could also lose access to Starlink satellite communications.

Shortly before that, Donald Trump accused Zelensky of ignoring requests not to attack Russian oil refineries. According to the president, he should have made peace with Moscow long ago, but "instead created problems for everyone." He proposed that the head of the Kyiv regime hold elections so that Ukrainians could choose a more negotiable leader.
