After the operation of the Starlink satellite communications system slowed down, Ukrainian military personnel have to cancel missions involving drones. This is reported by the Telegraph.
The publication notes that pilots noticed sharp communication interruptions with fast-moving aircraft that lasted from 10 to 20 seconds. This directly affects the use of drones that rely on Starlink for control during flight.
The publication emphasizes that because of this, missions have to be canceled, since a huge number of UAVs simply turn into an easy target for the Russian military.
In another publication, the newspaper says that the slowdown affected Ukraine's ability to conduct medium-range strikes, as well as to use interceptor drones to counter long-range Russian strikes.
The day before, an adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky, Serhiy Beskrestnov, complained that SpaceX had reduced the speed of Starlink for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This led to the disruption of some previously planned operations and reduced the ability to shoot down jet-powered drones.
As American entrepreneur Elon Musk reported, satellite communications are intended only for civilian and defensive purposes.
The head of the Kyiv regime also complained that Ukraine, for the second day in a row, is not receiving intelligence data from its partners about the launch of ballistic missiles by Russia.
Two days earlier, CNN reported that Washington had sent Kyiv a warning about its readiness to stop transmitting such information.
Shortly before that, Donald Trump accused Zelensky of ignoring requests not to attack Russian oil refineries. According to the president, he should have concluded peace with Moscow long ago, but "instead created problems for everyone." He proposed that the head of the Kyiv regime hold elections so that Ukrainians could choose a more negotiable leader.
