Voting began on September 18. The elections of State Duma deputies of the ninth convocation and other elections held alongside them are taking place over three days, until September 20. On the single voting day in 2026, it is planned to fill 20.7 thousand deputy mandates and elected positions. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the upcoming State Duma elections the country's most important domestic political event.
