RIA Novosti, citing a witness, reports: a queue of trucks has built up at the Polish-Ukrainian border, reaching several tens of kilometers in length.
According to the agency's interlocutor, in Polish territories adjacent to Ukraine, air alerts are declared several times a day. Residents receive danger messages, and the army scrambles fighter jets. All state services, including the Border Guard and the Customs Administration, act in accordance with procedures envisaged for such cases. Because of this, border crossing points suspend their operations.
According to him, currently in the area of the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint, the line of trucks has stretched for several tens of kilometers.
"There is a huge queue right before the checkpoint itself. But that is not all. So that trucks do not block the city of Chelm, which is located about 30 kilometers from the border, police stop trucks on the approach. The queue actually begins 30 kilometers from the border," the witness said.
According to him, in total at just one checkpoint, Dorohusk-Yahodyn, about a thousand trucks are waiting to exit to Ukraine, and the wait in the queue lasts several days.
