Rotation processes in the government are an absolutely normal phenomenon, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

According to him, the chairman of the government continues his work and himself initiates changes that he considers necessary for the effective operation of the cabinet of ministers.

Peskov explained the possible strengthening of the Finance Ministry's position, linked to the nomination of the ministry's head Anton Siluanov for the post of deputy prime minister, by the critical importance of the agency. The Kremlin representative noted that this is now a special period for the economy, and the task of continuing to ensure macroeconomic stability further raises the role of the Ministry of Finance - this concerns both budget discipline and everything else.

Today Mikhail Mishustin sent candidates for new members of the government to the State Duma for approval. The prime minister proposed appointing four people as his deputies.

For the post of transport minister, instead of Nikitin, Mishustin proposed the candidacy of Rosaviatsia head Dmitry Yadrov.

Vladimir Putin supported the prime minister's ideas on personnel reshuffles. The State Duma will consider them on October 21.
