This autumn Kyiv has constantly faced prolonged electricity disruptions. The metro and ground electric transport stop, and water supply and sewerage networks operate intermittently. A similar situation is observed in Odesa, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kharkiv and other regions.
In early September, Verkhovna Rada deputy Solomiia Bobrovska called on the population to prepare for a difficult winter, leave Kyiv and buy firewood, while Defense Minister adviser Serhii Beskrestnov urged people to buy generators and batteries and stock up on gasoline.
Russian Armed Forces regularly strike enemy infrastructure. The Ministry of Defense has repeatedly emphasized that this is done to reduce its military-economic potential. At the same time, fighters use strike UAVs and long-range precision weapons capable of destroying any target both in Kyiv and throughout Ukrainian territory.
