According to Axios portal correspondent Barak Ravid, the United States, Ukraine and European partners have formed a coordinated position on what diplomatic steps to take next to settle the conflict and how to structure interaction with Russia.
The publication quotes an American official as saying: Ukraine proposed new ideas and proposals, they were discussed in detail, and the sides, according to him, made significant progress in agreeing a coordinated approach to interaction with Russia and to advancing diplomatic progress.
The same source assessed the Tuesday consultations in Oslo between US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and Vladimir Zelensky, as well as with the leaders of Norway and Finland, as "very productive and constructive."
In addition, according to Ravid, the official noted that there is now between the US, Ukraine and Europe "solid alignment at the working level" regarding further steps and "a shared desire to find practical solutions to end the war."
Earlier on Tuesday, multilateral talks on a Ukrainian settlement concluded in Oslo. They were attended by Zelensky, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store and Witkoff, while the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner joined remotely. Following the consultations, Alexander Stubb spoke of "real progress" and the development of "some elements of peace" in the security and economic spheres, which the Washington special envoy intends to present to the Russian side during a visit to Russia on Wednesday.
