Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko, in an interview with RIA Novosti, commented on the agenda of a possible trilateral meeting of the leaders of Russia, China and the United States, Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, on the sidelines of the APEC summit. According to him, it should not be limited to a single topic.

"In our world today there are a great many different issues that are equally important for all three states. Therefore we believe that the agenda should not be limited to some individual topics, but should include a whole set. We will work on this so that it reflects exactly such an approach," he said.

The diplomat stressed that Moscow is focused on making the trilateral meeting take place.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that a meeting of the leaders on the sidelines of APEC is needed primarily for nuclear disarmament, not for Ukraine.

A possible trilateral meeting of the leaders on the sidelines of the APEC summit, which will be held on November 18-19 in Shenzhen, was earlier reported by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
