In the Dnipropetrovsk direction, assault units of the Center group of forces took Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters prisoner. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
As the ministry explained, while carrying out combat tasks, assault troops identify camouflaged enemy positions with personnel and destroy them - both from the air using FPV drones and in direct contact at the position with fire from standard weapons. Before destruction, the enemy is always offered the chance to surrender voluntarily, the Defense Ministry stressed.
The ministry added that Russian fighters strive to bring prisoners back to their unit and preserve their lives even under Ukrainian drone strikes.
The Center group of forces operates in the Dnipropetrovsk direction. Over the past day, in its area of responsibility, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 350 servicemen, 8 armored vehicles, 11 cars, 2 field artillery guns and an electronic warfare station.
