No incidents were recorded during 30 hours of the silence regime in Aleshki. This was reported by Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova on the Max platform.
She also noted that she is in contact with Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets - together they are coordinating the implementation of the agreements reached.
The day before, at 04:00 Moscow time, the Russian Armed Forces ceased fire in the Kherson direction - this was done as part of preparations for a humanitarian operation in the Aleshki area. According to Lantratova, the silence regime will be in effect until 22:59 on November 1. The main tasks are to deliver a convoy with food, medicines and everything necessary, as well as to evacuate people who voluntarily decide to leave the city.
The local truce was announced last Friday by Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov. The White House then said that the United States helped to agree on it. As specified in the Kremlin, Melania Trump played a coordinating role in this. Ukraine supported the initiative.
Since that day, units of the Dnepr group have been conducting engineering reconnaissance and clearing the main approach routes to Aleshki of explosive objects and booby traps. Over the week, they neutralized more than 300 such devices.
Aleshki is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, opposite Kherson, which is controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As Governor Vladimir Saldo has emphasized, Ukrainian militants are deliberately creating a difficult humanitarian situation, as well as striking energy and communications facilities.
