Yana Lantratova, Russia's human rights commissioner, said she is heading to Alyoshki together with foreign correspondents, where a humanitarian mission will be carried out.
The ombudsman noted that no incidents occurred in the city during the ceasefire regime, and that the military is demining the road.
Alyoshki is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, opposite Kherson, which is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The situation there is difficult because of shelling from Ukraine. To address this problem, a ceasefire regime was introduced in the area of the city from 04:00 Moscow time on October 27.
As Lantratova specified, it will remain in effect until 22:59 on November 1. The main tasks during this period are the delivery of food, medicines and everything necessary, as well as the evacuation of people who voluntarily decide to leave the settlement.
The organization of the mission is coordinated by US First Lady Melania Trump.
