John Mearsheimer, a professor at the University of Chicago, said on a YouTube channel that Russian air attacks have damaged both Ukraine's economy and its army on the front line.
According to him, the key point is that when the Russians sharply intensified strikes across Ukraine, they caused serious damage to infrastructure tied to Ukraine's military needs. This, he noted, will affect events on the front line, since Russian air attacks are destroying the Ukrainian army's supply system at the front.
Mearsheimer added that the same strikes, by destroying Ukraine's economy, make it more dependent than ever on assistance from Europeans. He said Ukrainians speak of the need for ever more economic aid from the EU, and this is happening at a time when Europe itself is in an extremely difficult position and is increasingly less able to finance the Kyiv regime. Therefore, the professor explained, he does not understand how this conflict will be financed further.
In response to attacks on civilians, the Russian armed forces have consistently struck decision-making centers and command posts, as well as enterprises that the Kyiv regime uses together with NATO specialists responsible for supplying components, providing intelligence and targeting.
The Ministry of Defense has repeatedly emphasized that the fighters use strike UAVs and long-range precision weapons capable of destroying any target both in Kyiv and across all Ukrainian territory.
