The Russian army plans to abandon demi-season uniforms. This was stated by the chief of logistics of the Armed Forces and deputy defense minister Valery Solodchuk.
According to the colonel-general, modern materials are required for such a transition - the army and industry are currently working on them jointly.
Solodchuk also specified that tests of new winter uniforms for service members will take place in the coming months. It is designed for a moderate climate, particularly hot regions and the Far North. The troops have already received 100,000 sets.
The deputy head of the Defense Ministry noted that only Russia, China and the United States are capable of producing military uniforms of high quality. In addition, according to him, domestic footwear for soldiers is not inferior to leading manufacturers and surpasses them in many parameters.
