External power supply to the Zaporizhzhia NPP has been restored, the plant's press service reported.

According to the report, after the incident the radiation situation at the ZNPP has not changed and remains stable, and the backup diesel generators operated normally.

On the morning of the same day, the plant lost connection to its only remaining external power line, "Ferrosplavnaya-1" - the cause was damage.

The ZNPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper near Energodar. It is Europe's largest nuclear power plant, with six power units of one gigawatt each. In October 2022 the facility came under the management of Russian specialists. Power generation at the units was stopped in September 2022, and since April 2024 they have been in cold shutdown.
