STRICKEN CHARLATANS drummer JON BROOKES has spoken about the terrifying moment his body was gripped by a seizure. The brave sticksman posted a statement on the band`s website describing the terrifying event. He wrote: "Strange feelings of floating quickly replaced by violent head movements engulfed me. "Then I was approached by strangely familiar faces asking me what was wrong but I couldn`t speak, my mouth wired tight by lockjaw and panic spreading across my frozen body, the first seizure had begun and was in full affect." Jon, 41, collapsed and stopped breathing during a gig in Philadelphia last month. A doctor in the audience resuscitated him before the paramedics arrived and rushed him to hospital where he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The Only One I Know star is now back in the UK for treatment, while the band have temporarily hired THE VERVE drummer PETE SALISBURY for their tour which kicks off this week.
