The 41-year-old singer - who is expecting her first child with husband Nick Cannon - believes not celebrating the anniversary of her birth gives her more freedom. She said: "I don`t have birthdays. Literally. If anyone wished me happy birthday, I`d be like, `Who are you talking to?` It`s about not being tied down to anything." The `Hero` hitmaker insists she lives outside of the usual restraints of society and has no interest in being on time for anything because she doesn`t want to be restricted. She explained to the Independent newspaper: "Honestly I don`t think I`m normal. I don`t think my life has been quite normal. I disregard time, you don`t see me wear a watch. I don`t adhere to modern rules or the normal rules of time." However despite her quirks and diva reputation, Mariah thinks she is a dream employer because she cares about her staff. She said: "I can be difficult but I`m pretty nice compared to most people I`ve seen do what I do. If you want to work for someone difficult, work for a bank or company where people don`t care about you. I take care of a lot of people and it`s not easy."
