A school in England has banned hot drinks from a coffee morning. Mill Hill Children`s Centre in Hampshire has ruled hot drinks are too much of a threat to toddlers and parents must now drink water at the meetings. Karen Griffin, one of 20 mothers who attends the mornings, said: "I think it`s absurd. A lot of us mums enjoy a gossip over a cup of coffee. It just won`t be the same." However, Penny Bovey from the centre has defended the decision. She said: "We feel this is a sensible way of keeping children safe. Groups are only run for approximately one and a half hours and cold drinks are available."
