MOSCOW, November 3 - A militant wanted for terrorist attacks in at least two North Caucasus republics was killed early Thursday in the city of Khasavurt, Daghestan, a local Interior Ministry spokesman said. Makhach Mamashev was wanted for carrying out attacks in Chechnya and Daghestan, and was thought to have been a member of a gang led by Chechen warlord Rabbani Khalilov, the spokesman said. He added that the militant, who was armed with a pistol and grenades at the time of his death, had been killed when police tried to apprehend him on a street.
