19 local people died because of alcohol substitute poisoning in Magadan. 4 people are hospitalized at severe condition. Poison was given by 4 home-brew makers who prepared more than 1 thousand liters of raw vodka before holidays. Tens of people were poisoned by low quality alcohol for last 5 days in Magadan. The majority of them died. The first occasion occurred in the evening of October 30 - 2 locals of Holodny villager were hospitalized. Doctors diagnosed "burn of gastrointestinal tract". The patients were out of conscious and one of them died soon. Local police started special operation with code name "Alcohol" and found out that nidus of poisoning was in town. 4 citizens of Magadan (women) were detained on suspicion of production and sale of low quality alcohol. During search policemen found 1200 liters of home-brew. City Office of Public Prosecutor instituted legal proceedings according to article 238 part 3 of Russian Criminal Code (production and sale of products that don`t correspond to security requirements). If investigation proves implication of detained women to death of 19 Magadan citizens then women can get from 4 to 10 years of imprisonment. List of victims increases every day.
