More than 400 bee-keepers from 50 regions around Russia and the CIS have gathered to take part in the All-Russia Honey and Honey Products Fair that is running through to March 3 at the Manezh exhibition centre. Honey is available from such exotic locales as North Ossetia, Chechnya, Chuvashia, Krasnodarsky Krai, Primorsky Krai, Udmurtia and Bashkortostan. "There will be about 60 varieties of honey to choose from," a representative from the Moscow Department for Retail Markets and Services told RIA Novosti on Monday. Not only can customers meet all their honey needs, but they can buy propolis, royal jelly, pollen, wax, natural mead as well as feed their minds with bee-keeping and honey literature. "The average price for honey at the fair will depend on the type and how far it has travelled - prices will range from 300-600 roubles a kilogram," said the representative.
