The openly-bisexual singer - who is currently single - explained her family first asked about her sexuality when they noticed she appeared to have feelings for one of her female pals. She said: "It wasn`t something I was bothered by, and as soon as my friends and family were like, `It`s cool`, I didn`t worry. I don`t care what people think - love is love. "My mum and dad always knew. Dad sat me down and said, `Are you a lesbian?` because I was obsessed with my best friend." The `Price Tag` hitmaker insists while she will be equally comfortable settling down with a guy or a girl eventually, no-one hits on her at the moment. She added to more! magazine: "At the end of the day, I only live once and if I fall in love with a guy, I fall in love with a guy. "Love can be a very powerful thing and I think I have to live my life how I want to live it. No one really hits on me at all. I think people are intimidated by me. I`ve always been that girl who people are a little scared of."
