VICTORIA Beckham looks drawn and exhausted as she is seen in public for the first time since the traumatic birth of her daughter left her in agony. The debilitating pain caused by a slipped disc was clearly etched on her face as she ran errands with baby Harper and a nanny away from the Malibu home she has been recuperating in. And the unsmiling fashion icon, who is rarely seen without killer heels, wore flats and no make-up during her brief outing. The former Spice Girl has been receiving treatment for the painful back problem, suffered during last month`s caesarean. The couple have hired a £120-per-hour chiropractor and concerned pals have revealed that she can`t even pick up new-born baby Harper. As husband David played with boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz on the beach yesterday, the singer looked skinny and frail as she closed her eyes in the back of the car. And her nanny carried Harper`s heavy car seat to the vehicle. The 37-year-old mum-of-four has been plagued by crippling backache since giving birth by Caesarean section, on July 10. A source has said: "She has had an X-ray which showed she has slipped a disc in her lower back. Victoria is in a lot of pain and even struggling to hold Harper. "She is really down about the whole thing as she just wants to be able to play with her daughter like any new mum. "When she goes to breastfeed, David has to basically prop-up the baby. But Victoria is trying to remain upbeat because she really does feel so blessed with the birth of her beautiful daughter. She is determined not to let this injury overshadow the happiness surrounding Harper`s arrival."
