IT`S not often pop stars are happy to be compared to snooker players. Over the years Leona Lewis has carved out a reputation as the Steve Davis of music with her not-so-interesting interviews. But she`s not fussed people consider her less entertaining than a John Virgo trick shot. Leona said: "I`d rather be seen as boring than a harsh, brash person. It doesn`t bother me." But thanks to her recent reinvention, we could be about to see Leona come out of her shell. She might even move about on stage a bit. Her management and label are having a decent stab at moving the singer away from her "sitting on a stool, belting out a ballad" image. She`s been wearing neon outfits in her promo shots and her next single, Trouble, has a real trip-hop influence. That wouldn`t have worked next to Bleeding Love on her debut album. Latest single Collide is a collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii that wouldn`t sound out of place blaring for ravers in Ibiza. Third album Glassheart also sees Leona teaming up with grime producer Naughty Boy, who`s made hits for Chipmunk and Wiley. Something had to be done after her previous album, Echo, failed to match the massive success of debut Spirit. Leona insists she`s changed as much as her music since her X Factor days. Speaking to Rollacoaster magazine, she said: "I`ve come a long way since then and I`ve grown as a performer, as a singer, everything. "I was in that weird teenage-adult stage for a long time, making decisions that perhaps weren`t right. But I`ve realised in the last couple of years that I have grown up and I know myself so much more." Her clobber has changed a bit too. She`d struggle sitting on a stool in this tight skirt.
