The former Spice Girl singer - who is currently one of the judges on the Australian version of `X Factor` - is keen to look into the possibility of buying a business property in the city in North England, and wants to discuss options with husband Stephen Belafonte.
Writing on twitter, Mel said: "I love leeds, thinking some time in the future to open maybe a bar or small healthy restaurant there! thoughts? If any leeds peeps no of any cool spots for sale to do a cool bar restaurant, then hit up my twitter, seriously!!!
"send me pic`s of the leeds property`s, i`m getting excite gonna talk to hubby Stephen about it right now!!(sic)"
Afterwards Mel - who has children Phoenix, 12, Angel, four, and two-month-old Madison - showed her appreciation to fans who sent her links.
She wrote: "hey guys loving the tweets about the possible leeds bar, restaurant!!
"I just love love love leeds, talking to hubby Stephen right now about my idea, soooo excited about it!(sic)"
Previously, Mel has hinted she might like to stay in Australia following her work on the musical TV talent show in the country.
She said: "All our 3 kids are loving loving loving Sydney, they think me and Stephen are soooooo friggin cool hahaha(sic)".
